Four reportedly attack man, steal valuables

Police say afternoon assault occurred Monday in 400 block of E. Lincoln Highway

IMG_2339On Monday, Jan. 26, at 2:15 p.m., Officer Miguel A. Ortiz made contact with an alleged robbery victim at City Hall, police said. The alleged victim said three unknown black males and one unknown black female, all wearing dark clothing. attacked him in the 400 block of East Lincoln Highway and stole his wallet, cell phone, and house keys before running westbound to an unknown location, police said.

Police said the alleged victim suffered minor injuries to his right eye. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 610-384-2300; anonymous tips can be generated by using the Coatesville PD Tips app or by texting the keyword of Coatesville and a message to 847411.

Coatesville Police were dispatched to the unit block of North Third Avenue on Monday, Jan. 27, at 10:43 a.m. for a theft complaint, Officer Kevin Price reported. The alleged victim said a skinny black male wearing a black hoodie grabbed his phone from his hands and fled on foot; the alleged victim was not injured, police said. The theft is still under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to contact police at 610-384-2300. Officer Kirt Guyer observed Keith Johnson in the 200 block of East Lincoln Highway on Sunday, Jan. 26, at 3 p.m., police said. Johnson, 39, of Coatesville, was taken into custody and held for processing on two domestic relations warrants, police said.

On Friday, Jan. 24, at 8:28 a.m., Pennsylvania State Police, assisted by Coatesville Police, served a felony warrant on Haneef Brake, 24, of Coatesville, in the 400 block of Victoria Drive, Officer Kirt Guyer reported. Brake, wanted for flight to avoid apprehension and possession of drug paraphernalia, was taken into custody without incident, arraigned, and released on 10 percent of $7,500 bail, police said.

Cpl. Jeffrey Ingemie served a warrant of Stephen Kitchen, 27, of Coatesville, for a probation violation, in the unit block of West Sixth Avenue on Saturday, Jan. 25, at 9:16 a.m., police said. Kitchen was released to constables for transport to Chester County Prison, police said.

Downingtown Borough Police arrested Essence Kelsey, 18, of Coatesville, on Saturday, Jan. 25, at 6:44 a.m. on a Coatesville warrant for burglary and assault, Coatesville Cpl. Jeffrey Ingemie reported.

Hector Tirado, 18, of Coatesville, was charged with simple assault and harassment after police responded to a domestic disturbance on Friday, Jan. 24, at 6:57 a.m. in the 300 block of Charles Street, Officer Rob Kuech reported.  Tirado was arraigned and held on $750 bail, police said.

    why was there no information on the accident at the gas station at 7th and Lincoln hwy ? is this being kept quiet for a certain reason ? Every thing else is put either in the news paper or in the Coatesville times! those of you who know who the person was that did this, watch yourselves

      The Coatesville Times reports virtually all of the incidents that are released by the police, with the exception of some of the traffic accidents. If damage is minimal and no charges are filed, it would not appear. Please let us know if you think we missed something important.
