COATESVILLE — Police are seeking two men believed to have been involved in the shooting of a teen early Monday on Coates Street.

Jay Jackson, 19, was apparently shot in the leg following a dispute with two men sometime around 2 a.m. Monday. Police responded to the report and Jackson was transported to Paoli Hospital.

Police said the dispute centered around a fight, allegedly related to an unnamed woman, between Jackson, his older brother (whom police did not identify) and two other men, Alfred Hogue, 26, and Kervin Crawford, 30. Police said the initial dispute ended suddenly and all involved ran from the scene.

Some time later, all four returned to the scene — and while allegedly the Jackson brothers said they wanted to end the dispute, Crawford pulled out a handgun, chased the younger Jackson, finally firing multiple rounds at him, striking him the leg.

Crawford and Hogue then fled the scene.

Both are now wanted on Attempted Murder charges. Anyone with information about their whereabouts is asked to call 911 or use the Coatesville Police Tip line.
