COATESVILLE – DUE TO MULTIPLE PREDICTIONS OF SNOW ACCUMULATION IN EXCESS OF SIX INCHES, EFFECTIVE AT 7:00 PM FRIDAY JANUARY 22, 2016 AND CONTINUING UNTIL RESCINDED, A SNOW EMERGENCY IS HEREBY DECLARED WITHIN THE CORPORATE CITY LIMITS IN THE CITY OF COATESVILLE. IN CONSULTATION WITH CITY COUNCIL PRESIDENT LINDA LAVENDER_NORRIS AND IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE HOME RULE CHARTER FOR THE CITY OF COATESVILLE, ENFORCEMENT OF PARKING ON THE DESIGNATED STREETS IN THE CITY OF COATESVILLE WILL BEGIN IMMEDIATELY AT 7:00 PM ON JANUARY 22, 2016 AND CONTINUE UNTIL THE STREETS HAVE BEEN CLEANED AND THE EMERGENCY CEASES TO EXIST.<\/em>\"Snowflake1511_X_th_B\"<\/a><\/p>\n

PARKING IS PROHIBITED ON THE FOLLOWING SNOW EMERGENCY ROUTES:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Lincoln Highway, from bridge to bridge (both north and south sides).<\/li>\n
  2. Strode Avenue, from Lincoln Highway to southern City Line (both east and west sides).<\/li>\n
  3. Pennsylvania Avenue (west side only).<\/li>\n
  4. Chestnut Street (south side only).<\/li>\n
  5. Oak Street, from First Avenue to Eighth Avenue (south side only).<\/li>\n
  6. Charles Street, from Church Street to western City Line (south side only).<\/li>\n
  7. Third Avenue, from Oak Street to Coates Street (West Side Only)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

     <\/p>\n

    NOTE: Vehicles will be ticketed and towed if they are found in the aforementioned snow emergency route locations during the snow emergency.<\/p>\n

    PARKING IS AVAILABLE AT THE FOLLOWING PUBLIC LOTS:<\/p>\n

    1. Patton Park<\/li>\n
    2. City Hall Lots at 3rd Avenue & Harmony Street<\/li>\n
    3. Maple Avenue & 3rd Avenue<\/li>\n
    4. 300 East Lincoln Highway S\/E Corner Lot<\/li>\n
    5. 700 East Lincoln Highway<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Please remember the streets are public and it is illegal to use cones, chairs, furniture, debris, etc. to save parking spots.<\/p>\n

      ORDINANCE SECTION 193-19 DUTY TO REMOVE SNOW & ICE<\/p>\n

      Residents are responsible for the removal of snow and ice from their sidewalks, private drives, parking lots and individual on-street parking areas. The snow or ice removed from said locations, shall not be placed or piled in the travel lanes. The saving of parking spots with items such as furniture, cones or any debris will not be permitted.<\/p>\n
