Dinniman, Wolf have failed our schools"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><strong><span class=\"s1\">To The Editor:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-568\" src=\"http:\/\/coatesvilletimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Letters1.jpg\" alt=\"Letters1\" width=\"200\" height=\"140\" \/>Governor Wolf and Senator Dinniman failed students, teachers and taxpayers this past week.\u00a0 House Bill 805 would ensure that the best teachers are protected from layoffs and not simply the ones who are there the longest.\u00a0 Rather than working to improve our education system and provide real accountability, Wolf and Dinniman opposed this legislation to protect the interests of a few and support their political and union friends.<\/span><span class=\"s1\">\u00a0<\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">It\u2019s important to note that Senator Dinniman was quoted in the news today saying that he wins elections because he is above partisanship.\u00a0 Well, this year will be the first time in Dinniman\u2019s political career where an opposing candidate will actually expose the truth about him.\u00a0 Senator Dinniman is a single-minded seeker of re-election.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Senator Dinniman has made a career out of voting on both sides of every issue so he can pander to all groups.\u00a0 Just recently, he voted for a state budget and lauded the end of an eight month budget stalemate.\u00a0 What Dinniman doesn\u2019t want voters to know is that he helped cause the impasse by opposing multiple budgets on party lines over the eight months prior and supported Governor Wolf\u2019s massive tax increase proposal.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">With Senate leaders planning to make House Bill 805 a condition of passing a new budget, we can only hope that Dinniman stays true to form and flips his vote yet again.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: right;\"><strong><span class=\"s1\">Jack London<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"
