Cow pie bingo is just one of the fun activities at the Canine Partners For Life open house, Sept.17.<\/p><\/div>\n

Join Canine Partners for Life<\/a> (CPL) for our annual Open House and Cow Bingo<\/a> on Saturday, September 17 from 1 to 5 p.m. Gather the entire family for an afternoon of free fun to learn how service and companion dogs are trained, and hear firsthand how they impact the lives of individuals with disabilities.<\/p>\n

\u201cI look forward to the Open House every year because it gives us the opportunity to share the important work we do with our community and friends,\u201d said Darlene Sullivan, CPL Founder and Executive Director. \u201cIt is such a fun and exciting way for new people to learn about CPL\u2019s mission, and, for those already familiar with CPL, to speak with new volunteers and graduates and get to know us better.\u201d<\/p>\n

Upon arrival, guests will receive a passport, taking them on a journey to learn about CPL\u2019s mission to raise and train service dogs for individuals with a wide range of disabilities. Visitors can watch service dogs demonstrate a variety of skills including tugging jackets off, retrieving dropped objects, and paying a cashier. CPL staff and volunteers will be giving tours of our state-of-the-art kennel where our dogs are housed for their second year of training.<\/p>\n

The most popular stop on the passport is the \u201cPuppy Kissing Booth\u201d where guests can learn about our volunteer puppy raising program, meet our service dogs in training, and steal a few puppy kisses! There are also opportunities to shop from local vendors, listen to live music from Ol\u2019 422, enjoy a BBQ lunch, play kids\u2019 games, and watch the ever-popular Cow Bingo! Cow Bingo is a game of chance that pits players\u2019 luck against the cow \u201cdoo\u201ding her thing. If the cow heeds the call of nature on one lucky person\u2019s square, they are the winner of $5,000! Tickets are $10 each and may be purchased here<\/a>. Squares are randomly assigned. Winner does not need to be present to win.<\/p>\n

CPL is located at 334 Faggs Manor Road, Cochranville, PA 19330. This event is rain or shine. Personal pets are not allowed at the event.
