{"id":15521,"date":"2016-11-05T10:47:11","date_gmt":"2016-11-05T14:47:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/coatesvilletimes.com\/?p=15521"},"modified":"2016-11-05T11:14:57","modified_gmt":"2016-11-05T15:14:57","slug":"chesco-gop-hits-rzucidlo-over-mailers-false-quotes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/coatesvilletimes.com\/?p=15521","title":{"rendered":"Chesco GOP hits Rzucidlo over mailers, story quotes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/coatesvilletimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/ChescoGOPLogo.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-2365\" src=\"http:\/\/coatesvilletimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/ChescoGOPLogo.jpg\" alt=\"chescogoplogo\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a>WEST CHESTER<strong>\u00a0\u2013 <\/strong>Chairman Val DiGiorgio blasts the local Democratic Party and candidate Susan Rzucidlo for a mailer that hit homes of Chester County voters today that falsely attributes quotes to a local news source when it was actually a quote from a press release that the Democratic Committee of Chester County generated themselves.<\/p>\n<p>Chairman Val DiGiorgio stated, \u201cThis is an unethical and disgraceful campaign ploy. \u00a0Susan Rzucidlo slanders Eric Roe and then makes the Chester County Times an unwitting participant to that slander by attributing her lying quotes to that newspaper.\u00a0 In all my years in politics, I have never seen anything like this.\u00a0Susan Rzucidlo should be ashamed of herself. The worst part? The Times of Chester County\u00a0endorsed Susan Rzucidlo in this election. She then turns around and throws it back in the paper\u2019s face.\u201d<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>\u201cSusan Rzucidlo is fooling no one by saying that she had nothing to do with this. This mailer was paid for by the House Democratic Campaign Committee (HDCC) and done in coordination with her campaign.\u00a0 Susan has listed the HDCC\u2019s contribution on her most recent financial report.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>DiGiorgio continued, \u201cThe Democrats did the same thing to a Republican House Candidate in Western PA. A local paper endorsed the Democrat candidate and was forced to pull that endorsement after unfair and misleading information was attributed to the paper. We think the newspaper should rescind its endorsement of someone who falsely attributed quotes to the paper. For the sake\u00a0of media outlets everywhere, the Democratic Committee and Susan Rzucidlo should be forced to apologize. Susan Rzucidlo and her campaign, in falsely attributing these comments to The Times of Chester County, are now willing participants in unethical and egregious actions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lastly, DiGiorgio stated, \u201cEric Roe has lived in the 158<sup>th<\/sup> district for 25 years.\u00a0 He\u2019s always voted here.\u00a0 He\u2019s always been a licensed driver here.\u00a0 Susan Rzucidlo\u2019s attacks are false and levied just before Election Day in an effort to take the focus off her support for bigger government and higher taxes.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>WEST CHESTER\u00a0\u2013 Chairman Val DiGiorgio blasts the local Democratic Party and candidate Susan Rzucidlo for a mailer that hit homes of Chester County voters today that falsely attributes quotes to a local news source when it was actually a quote from a press release that the Democratic Committee of Chester County generated themselves.
