O&#8217;Gara, 90, of Middletown, NJ, died on November 26, 2018 at Riverview Medical Center. She was born in Pennsylvania and resided in Middletown for 62 years. Mrs. O&#8217;Gara was a teacher and science specialist in Middletown schools for 25 years, retiring in 1990. She was a 1950 graduate of Susquehanna University and received a Master&#8217;s of Education from Kean University. She was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority, Alpha Delta Kappa, and Phi Delta Kappa. She was also a member of MCEA, NJEA, NEA and the affiliates for retirees. Mrs. O&#8217;Gara was a communicant of St. Mary&#8217;s RC Church, New Monmouth, and a member of the Rosary Altar Society. She enjoyed wintering in Stuart, FL and was a member of Ship Ahoy Beach Club for almost 60 years.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Jeffrey Pisani; her son, Kenneth O&#8217;Gara; her daughter-in-law, Patricia O&#8217;Gara; her two granddaughters, Kristin McNair and her husband, Christopher, and Sarah Pisani; her great-grandchild, Landon McNair;and her niece, Catherine Ham.<\/p>\n<p>Elaine was preceded in death by her beloved husband Robert M. O&#8217;Gara in 2008, and her son, Thomas O&#8217;Gara in 2011.<\/p>\n<p>Visitation will be held Friday, November 30, 2018 from 7-9 pm at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, 115 Tindall Road, Middletown. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 9:30 am at the funeral home. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 10:30 am at St. Mary&#8217;s Chapel, 26 Leonardville Rd., Middletown.
