{"id":27748,"date":"2020-07-30T14:49:31","date_gmt":"2020-07-30T18:49:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/coatesvilletimes.com\/?p=27748"},"modified":"2020-07-30T14:49:51","modified_gmt":"2020-07-30T18:49:51","slug":"county-announces-three-new-admin-hires","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/coatesvilletimes.com\/?p=27748","title":{"rendered":"County announces three new admin hires"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"attachment_12231\" style=\"width: 360px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/coatesvilletimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/Brianne-Tiffany-and-Nicole-3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-12231\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-12231\" src=\"https:\/\/coatesvilletimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/Brianne-Tiffany-and-Nicole-3-350x193.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"350\" height=\"193\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-12231\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">New leadership appointments for Chester County government, clockwise from top right: Tiffany Sowers, Director of Human Resources; Nicole Forzato, County Solicitor; and Brianne Zanin, Deputy County Administrator.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>WEST CHESTER \u2014 Chester County Commissioners Marian Moskowitz, Josh Maxwell and Michelle Kichline approved today the appointment of new Chester County Solicitor Nicole Forzato at their public commissioners\u2019 meeting.\u00a0 This approval is the third of three administrative leadership appointments made by the Commissioners in recent months.\u00a0 Forzato begins with the County on August 4<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the appointment of Nicole Forzato as County Solicitor, Tiffany Sowers joins the County of Chester as Human Resources Director, and Brianne Zanin moves to the Commissioners\u2019 Office as Deputy County Administrator. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Nicole Forzato assumes the role of Chester County Solicitor following an almost 20-year career in law, including roles in county and state government.\u00a0 She comes to Chester County from the Office of the Pennsylvania Attorney General where she served as Senior Deputy Attorney General, Criminal Prosecution.\u00a0 Prior to that, Forzato was Senior Assistant Solicitor for Montgomery County, PA.\u00a0\u00a0 She also served as Law Clerk in the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas and focused on both criminal and civil law in private practice.\u00a0 A Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Honors graduate of Villanova University, Nicole received her Juris Doctor from Villanova University School of Law. She resides in Paoli.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter a thorough search for a new County Solicitor, we are pleased to welcome Nicole to Chester County,\u201d said Chester County Commissioners\u2019 Chair Marian Moskowitz.\u00a0 \u201cTom Whiteman\u2019s decades of service in our Solicitor\u2019s Office, and the counsel he provided to many boards of commissioners prior to his retirement are greatly valued.\u00a0\u00a0 We knew that his would be a tough act to follow and are confident that Nicole\u2019s immense experience in, and understanding of government law will serve the County of Chester and our citizens very well.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>New Chester County Human Resources Director Tiffany Sowers brings to the County a wealth of HR experience, including her prior work as Vice President of Human Resources for Theraplay, Inc., an organization that provides occupational, physical and speech therapy, and feeding and concussion programs for children from birth to age 21.\u00a0 She also served as Human Resources Director for ViaOne Services in Kennett Square and for Physiotherapy Associates in Exton.\u00a0 Tiffany received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Millersville University, earned a Masters in Industrial\/Organizational Psychology from West Chester University, and her certifications include Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and SHRM Senior Certified Professional.\u00a0 She has always called Chester County home and resides in West Grove.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe position of Director of Human Resources for Chester County, one of the area\u2019s top employers, is an important one requiring comprehensive knowledge of HR policy and law, as well as the ability to successfully lead a large staff,&#8221; Chester County Commissioner Josh Maxwell said. &#8220;Tiffany has already begun to embrace this role. \u00a0Tiffany has focused her energy on recruitment, employee relations, training and development, and the County\u2019s award-winning Wellness Program. \u00a0We are excited to work with her and look forward to the new ideas and fresh outlook she brings to Chester County\u2019s HR department.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Brianne Zanin moves to the Chester County Commissioners\u2019 Office as Deputy County Administrator, supporting County Administrator Bobby Kagel in the supervision and direction of all County government programs and administrative operations. Brianne has served as Director of Open Space Preservation for Chester County for nearly two years, and during this time successfully merged Chester County\u2019s Department of Parks and Trails with Open Space Preservation.\u00a0 Prior to moving to Chester County, she was Deputy Director of the County of Maui Department of Parks and Recreation where she oversaw the performance management of more than 275 full-time and 400 part-time employees.\u00a0 She is a graduate of Missouri Baptist University and is a member of the National Association of Counties and the International City\/County Management Association.\u00a0 Brianne resides in West Whiteland.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBrianne has a great strategic and practical understanding of the role of County Government and the services and programs that it provides to all citizens,&#8221; County Commissioner Michelle Kichline said. &#8220;She has worked with many state, county and local municipal representatives, and we are confident that she will undertake the deputy administrator role with professionalism, providing strong support to our County Administrator Bobby Kagel.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>WEST CHESTER \u2014 Chester County Commissioners Marian Moskowitz, Josh Maxwell and Michelle Kichline approved today the appointment of new Chester County Solicitor Nicole Forzato at their public commissioners\u2019 meeting.\u00a0 This approval is the third of three administrative leadership appointments made by the Commissioners in recent months.\u00a0 Forzato begins with the County on August 4th.
