{"id":29503,"date":"2021-04-24T08:22:05","date_gmt":"2021-04-24T12:22:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/coatesvilletimes.com\/?p=29503"},"modified":"2021-04-24T08:22:13","modified_gmt":"2021-04-24T12:22:13","slug":"all-veterans-and-spouses-eligible-for-covid-vaccine-at-coatesville-va","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/coatesvilletimes.com\/?p=29503","title":{"rendered":"All veterans and spouses eligible for COVID vaccine at Coatesville VA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/coatesvilletimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/201221_FS_ModernaVaccine.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-13784\" src=\"https:\/\/coatesvilletimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/201221_FS_ModernaVaccine-350x241.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"350\" height=\"241\" \/><\/a>The Coatesville VA Medical Center has widened the eligibility for COVID-19 vaccination to all Veterans, to include Veterans who are not enrolled or eligible for VA health care, to Veteran spouses, and to Veteran caregivers.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.va.gov\/VAntage\/86689\/update-save-lives-act-allows-va-soon-provide-covid-19-vaccinations-veterans-spouses-caregivers\/\">SAVE LIVES Act<\/a>\u00a0allows the VA to continue to vaccinate all:<\/p>\n<p>Veterans<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Anyone who served in the U.S. military regardless of their Character of Discharge.<\/li>\n<li>Members of and retired National Guard, Reserve and Coast Guard.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Spouses<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Spouse is defined to include marriage, same-sex and common-law marriages. This includes a widow or widower of a Veteran.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Caregivers<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>For COVID-19 vaccine eligibility, caregiver is defined as a family member or friend who provides care to the Veteran. Caregivers may help the Veteran with personal needs like feeding, bathing, or dressing.
