{"id":30271,"date":"2021-09-10T10:41:06","date_gmt":"2021-09-10T14:41:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/coatesvilletimes.com\/?p=30271"},"modified":"2021-09-10T10:41:08","modified_gmt":"2021-09-10T14:41:08","slug":"county-provides-update-on-donation-support-for-victims-of-ida","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/coatesvilletimes.com\/?p=30271","title":{"rendered":"County provides update on donation support for victims of Ida"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/coatesvilletimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/ChesterCountyLogo-3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-14550\" src=\"https:\/\/coatesvilletimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/ChesterCountyLogo-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"303\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a>WEST CHESTER \u2014 Chester County Officials have coordinated with key communities in the county impacted by Hurricane Ida, to announce donation opportunities that will meet the most urgent initial, and longer-term needs of the families displaced by Hurricane Ida.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are so grateful for everyone across the county who are giving time, resources, material goods, and financial donations for those in need, and we thank every organization that has coordinated a response,\u201d said Chester County Commissioners Marian Moskowitz, Josh Maxwell and Michelle Kichline.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAcross the county, we welcome support with furniture donations, financial contributions and ask landlords to contact us where they have the ability to help with rental needs,\u201d added the Commissioners.<\/p>\n<p>Monetary donations to support individuals and families whose homes have been fully or partially destroyed, or who have suffered significant loss of vehicles or other items, are being collected and responsibly distributed by organizations in four areas of the county.\u00a0 Monetary donations may be made online:<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>For the Phoenixville and surrounding community, go to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.inthistogetherpxv.com\">www.inthistogetherpxv.com<\/a> to make a donation, and note that it is for Hurricane Ida relief.<\/p>\n<p>For the City of Coatesville, go to the Brandywine Health Foundation\u2019s website, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.brandywinefoundation.org\/donate\">www.brandywinefoundation.org\/donate<\/a> , to donate to the Coatesville Red Umbrella Response Fund. This fund is a collaborative effort of the City of Coatesville, Brandywine Valley Active Aging, the Brandywine Health Foundation and a host of non-profit partners to help the hardest hit areas of the city.<\/p>\n<p>For the Downingtown and surrounding area, the Lord\u2019s Pantry is coordinating financial donations. Go to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lordspantryofdowningtown.org\">www.lordspantryofdowningtown.org<\/a>, and note that it is for flood victim relief.<\/p>\n<p>For the Avondale and Southern Chester County area, Kennett Area Community Service is coordinating the monetary donation collection.
