Kimberly J. Keel (Kades-Margolis), Daniel Carsley (AGSD), Joseph P. Lubitsky (CCIU) and Daniel Otto (Kades-Margolis) display the glass plaques received for the DVASBO Advocacy Awards.<\/p><\/div>\n

On October 27, Avon Grove School District\u2019s (AGSD) Director of Business Administration and Chief Financial Officer Daniel Carsley was awarded the Delaware Valley Association of School Business Officials (DVASBO) Advocacy Award.<\/p>\n

The DVASBO award, sponsored by retirement and investment firm Kades-Margolis, recognized one school business professional from each of the four surrounding counties (Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery) for outstanding advocacy, guidance and service during the 2020-21 COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n

In Chester County, Joseph P. Lubitsky, director of administrative services for the Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU), nominated Carsley for his outstanding work in AGSD.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn addition to leading a high-performing business office staff during the pandemic, Dan has also been a key contributor in all aspects of the major capital projects underway in AGSD, including the construction of a new, state-of-the-art high school and the renovation of an existing building for a future middle school,\u201d\u00a0stated Lubitsky.<\/p>\n

\u201cProjects of this magnitude involve complex and time-consuming work to complete designs, obtain approvals and align financing strategies. The current projects are on schedule to be completed on time and under budget.\u00a0Much of this success can be attributed to Dan Carsley’s commitment and tireless efforts to serve the school district and the community,\u201d Lubitsky continued.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/u>This year, in addition to the recipients nominated by each county\u2019s correlating intermediate unit, Kades-Margolis recognized the business manager from each intermediate unit for their support during the COVID-19 pandemic and, as a result, Lubitsky was the award recipient for the CCIU.<\/p>\n

On October 27, the Kades-Margolis Vice President of Employer Plans Kimberly J. Keel and Certified Financial Planner Daniel Otto visited AGSD to present the awards to Carsley and Lubitsky.<\/p>\n

As the two DVASBO award recipients for Chester County, Carsley and Lubitsky each received a glass plaque and a Certificate of Donation from Kades-Margolis, acknowledging $250 endowments to the Avon Grove Education Foundation in honor of Carsley and to the Children\u2019s Fund of Chester County in honor of Lubitsky.<\/p>\n
