Tower finds buyer for Jennersville, Brandywine hospitals \u2014 both to remain open"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><a href=\"https:\/\/coatesvilletimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/JennersvilleH.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-15065 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/coatesvilletimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/JennersvilleH-350x241.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"350\" height=\"241\" \/><\/a>Beleaguered local hospital operator Tower Health announced Monday that it has secured a new owner for Brandywine and Jennersville Hospitals, and that both facilities will remain open as acute care hospitals in Chester County.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>As Tower worked through a reorganization plan, Jennersville had been slated to close &#8212; leaving southwest Chester County without a hospital. The fate of Brandywine \u2014 which serves the greater Coatesville area \u2014 was not determined. Local elected leaders were working with Tower and other health care organizations in a fight to keep the hospitals open.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Tower entered into a definitive agreement with Canyon Atlantic Partners, LLC, which will assume ownership and operation of the facilities effective January 1, 2022. Canyon Atlantic Partners is a hospital ownership and management organization with extensive experience and expertise in healthcare operations, healthcare finance, and the strategic integration of hospitals and healthcare resources.<\/div>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cThere was extensive work done to find a solution for Jennersville and Brandywine Hospitals, and we are pleased to have identified one that keeps both hospitals open,\u201d said C. Tom Work, chair of Tower Health\u2019s Board of Directors. \u201cThis transfer of ownership will ensure continued, convenient access to care for the Jennersville and Brandywine communities. It will also further advance Tower Health\u2019s financial and operational turnaround, positioning us to deliver on our mission well into the future.\u201d<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Under the agreement, Canyon Atlantic Partners will assume all Brandywine and Jennersville Hospital assets and operations as of January 1, 2022. This means all clinical and non-clinical staff in good standing at the hospitals will be offered employment by Canyon Atlantic Partners effective on the date of transfer. Canyon Atlantic Partners will also assume ownership of all inpatient and outpatient services associated with the hospitals.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cWe listened to the community and redoubled our efforts to keep Jennersville and Brandywine Hospitals open,\u201d said Sue Perrotty, president and CEO of Tower Health. \u201cWe are deeply grateful for the commitment of our staff, who showed steadfast dedication to our patients throughout this process.
