The National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) awarded the CCIU\u2019s communication department with five awards for its work during the 2021-22 school year, including a Golden Achievement Award, and four Publications and Digital Media Awards.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;We are honored to have received this wonderful recognition from the National School Public Relations Association,&#8221; said Dr. George F. Fiore, executive director of the CCIU.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Our communication team does an outstanding job in collaboratively developing communications for the betterment of our organization and all that we serve. The CCIU is extremely proud of our communications department and thankful for this recognition.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The CCIU received a Golden Achievement Award for its <em>Team CCIU Human Resources Marketing Campaign: Brighter Futures Together<\/em>, a successful campaign that focused on staff recruitment and retainment.\u00a0\u00a0The Golden Achievement Award is granted to schools and districts that display exemplary work in all aspects of school public relations, communication, marketing and engagement. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Within the Publications and Digital Media Awards category, the CCIU was recognized for the following publications:\u00a0the\u00a02022-24\u00a0TCHS Course Catalog\u00a0(Award of Excellence), the CCIU\u00a02021-22 Activities Calendar\u00a0(Award of Merit), the CCIU\u00a02020-21 Annual Report\u00a0(Honorable Mention), and the CCIU\u00a0Legislative Quarterly Report\u00a0(Honorable Mention).\u00a0These awards are granted to schools and districts with outstanding educational publications; marketing and informational materials; video, tv and radio programs; social media channels; and\/or websites.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CCIU staff accepting the awards include Ashley Boyd, Erin Britton, Jennifer Chicosky, Lauren Critelli, Tonia Farnum, Laura Huff, Melissa Smith and Haley Taylor.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cI am truly privileged to work with an outstanding and talented team of communication professionals,\u201d said Mary Jeanne Curley, director of CCIU Communications and Learning Solutions. \u201cTheir creativity is inspiring. Their work is exemplary and it is most importantly instrumental in CCIU meeting its strategic objectives.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to Curley, the \u201cBrighter Futures\u201d recruitment campaign led to a significant increase in applicants and web traffic. After conducting the campaign for two months, the CCIU saw \u201can 8% increase in job applications,\u201d said Curley.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A leader in school communication, the National School Public Relations Association has been providing school communication training and services to school leaders throughout the United States, Canada, and the U.S. Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) schools worldwide.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU) recently received national recognition for its communication efforts.
