This decision comes\u00a0at a time\u00a0when demand for food assistance is higher than ever.<\/p>\n<p>KACS, which relies heavily on the food provided by the Chester County Food Bank, is now facing a severe shortfall. CCFB typically supplies 42% of KACS Food Cupboard&#8217;s food donations\u2014approximately 30,000 pounds of food every month\u2014helping to feed more than 3,000 people in our area\u00a0each month. With this cancellation, KACS will now need to either purchase or rely entirely on the\u00a0generosity of the community\u00a0to continue meeting the growing demand.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The need for food assistance is only increasing, and with the cancellation of this order, we find ourselves in a critical situation,&#8221; said Leah Reynolds, Chief Executive Officer of KACS. &#8220;Many of our neighbors are already struggling to make ends meet\u2014forced to choose between paying rent, purchasing medications, or putting food on the table. This disruption could make an already difficult situation even worse for those in need.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>KACS is committed to providing healthy, nutritious food to our most vulnerable neighbors, but we\u00a0cannot do this without your help.
