Over the decades, she has held several supervisory positions, building deep expertise in the development, implementation, and oversight of aging services programs, including caregiving support and protective services.\u00a0 Carlson succeeds Sandy Murphy who retired after 10 years as department director. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chester County Chief Executive Officer David Byerman praised the appointment, highlighting Carlson\u2019s leadership: \u201cHeidi\u2019s decade-long service as Deputy Director is a testament to her dedication to Chester County and the Department of Aging Services.\u00a0 She brings to the role a wealth of institutional knowledge and the same mission-driven leadership that defines so many of our best departmental leaders.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cAt the same time, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Sandy Murphy, whose leadership and service have left an indelible mark on the organization and set a high standard of excellence for all who follow,\u201d added Byerman.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pat Bokovitz, Director of Chester County\u2019s Department of Human Services\u2014which oversees the Department of Aging Services\u2014said, \u201cWe are fortunate to have Heidi step into this leadership position. Her extensive knowledge, years of experience, and deep commitment to supporting older adults are invaluable. She is an exceptional manager who oversees the planning, administration, and budget for a team of 37 department staff.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cHeidi is not just a respected leader\u2014she is a true ambassador for Chester County.
