Martin Malloy, is based on his 30-year police career.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The Chester County Library in Exton is getting down to the business of information with a host of upcoming programs.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, the library will feature Dr. William Watson, who will discuss Duffy\u2019s Cut, a ditch outside of Malvern that gained widespread publicity for the 57 Irish immigrants buried there.<\/p>\n<p>In June of 1832, the group arrived in Chester County to be construction laborers on the Philadelphia and Columbia Railroad, and within six weeks all were dead and buried anonymously at a site that has since fascinated researchers. The program will be held in the Struble Room from 7 to 8 p.m.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->On Thursday, Feb. 21, West Whiteland Township Police Sgt. Martin Malloy will speak about\u00a0<i>That\u00a0<\/i><em id=\"__mceDel\">Which We Are,\u00a0<\/em>a book he wrote based on his 30-year career in police.<\/p>\n<p>The book presents a realistic portrayal of life on the street for patrol officers, including daily challenges and the dedication that fuels them. The program will be held in the Struble Room from 7 to 8 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>An hour-long, business-related series will begin Feb. 25 at 7 p.m. with MOMPOPS, a West Chester-based gourmet popsicle business that quickly grew during the sweltering summer of 2010.\u00a0 The product is now in gourmet markets and food shops in both Chester County and Philadelphia, as well as at many local and regional farmers\u2019 markets.<\/p>\n<p>On March 5 at 7 p.m., an information session will be held\u00a0on the financial and legal aspects of planning for someone with special needs. And on March 25, the topic will be \u201cProject Management for Flat Organizations,\u201d those with few or no levels of management. This presentation will focus on organizational characteristics and three critical activities to help ensure success: defining the project, planning the project, and then working the plan.<\/p>\n<p>Registration is required for the business series.
