Jury finds Jeremiah ‘Young’ Bush guilty of all charges\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

A jury found Jeremiah “Young” Bush guilty of first-degree murder in the 2006 slaying of Jonas L. “Sonny” Suber, 33.<\/p><\/div>\n

Another chapter in a long-running, deadly Coatesville feud ended Thursday night when a Chester County jury convicted Jeremiah \u201cYoung\u201d Bush, 26, of Philadelphia, of first-degree murder and related offenses.<\/p>\n

Bush was one of four men charged in connection with the fatal shooting of Jonas L. \u201cSonny\u201d Suber, 33, of Coatesville, on Oct. 21, 2006. Suber, who ran a Coatesville barbershop, was blasted with eight bullets when he answered a knock at his door on Walnut Street. He was taken to Brandywine Hospital, where he was pronounced dead about two hours later, police said.<\/p>\n

The prosecution, led by Deputy District Attorney Ron Yen, said Duron \u201cGotti\u201d Peoples, 35, had sought revenge against Suber for an alleged dalliance with Peoples\u2019 girlfriend, initiating a period of violence that wounded Suber in one shootout on April 1, 2006, and killed Brian Keith Brown, 29, a friend of Peoples, several hours later in another.<\/p>\n

Brown\u2019s murder prompted more vengeance, prosecutors said. Acting on Peoples\u2019 behalf, Shamone \u201cKadof\u201d Woods, 31, of Coatesville allegedly arranged to have Suber killed. Eric \u201cStroda\u201d Coxry, 35, of Philadelphia was hired as the alleged triggerman, and Bush drove the getaway car.<\/p>\n

Despite his Philadelphia address, police said Bush had ties to the Coatesville and West Chester areas. Court records show he pleaded guilty in 2007 to carrying a firearm without a license in South Coatesville and was sentenced to nine to 23 months in prison.<\/p>\n

Bush, who was represented by Thomas McCabe, will be sentenced by Chester County Court Judge David F. Bortner at a later date.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
