Johnson, turned himself in at the Chester County Justice Center, where he will be preliminarily arraigned.\u00a0 Due to the nature of the charges, no bail will be set, and he will be remanded to Chester County Prison, Hogan said.<\/p>\n<p>Johnson could not immediately be reached for comment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Caln Township Police Department and Chester County Detectives worked day and night to put this case together and bring this defendant to justice.\u00a0 It was a total team effort,\u201d said Hogan. \u00a0\u201dWe are relieved that the defendant chose to surrender peacefully, minimizing the danger to him and the public.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hogan called the case\u00a0\u00a0\u201da family tragedy.\u201d \u00a0An argument over \u00a0walking a dog allegedly led to the death of Joseph Durham, 36, and Scott, his stepson, has been charged with fatally shooting him on Monday night, Hogan said. \u00a0\u201dThere is no excuse or explanation for this type of violence,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"entry-author\">\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id=\"author-description\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Accompanied by his attorney, 19-year-old surrenders at Justice Center A 19-year-old Caln Township homicide defendant surrendered to authorities Thursday evening, Chester County District Attorney Tom Hogan said.
