After a weeklong trial in July 2012, a federal jury\u00a0took only 45 minutes to convict Scott of selling over five kilograms of crack cocaine and possessing a firearm, the release said.<\/p>\n<p>Scott, who had prior conviction for drug-dealing and firearms offenses, was arrested in 2010 based on an investigation by the Chester County High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (\u201cHIDTA\u201d) Strike Force.\u00a0 Law enforcement identified Scott as a supplier of cocaine to various drug dealers in Coatesville and West Chester, the release said.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->\u201cWe are proud that the work of the Chester County HIDTA Strike Force has taken another dangerous criminal off the streets,&#8221; said Hogan. \u00a0&#8220;Every gun-toting drug dealer in Coatesville is shaking in their shoes today, wondering what it would be like to get sentenced to 25 years in prison.\u00a0 When local and federal law enforcement work together, the criminals do not stand a chance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>HIDTA is a multi-agency organization dedicated to investigating and prosecuting large-scale, drug-trafficking organizations and violent criminals associated with drug-dealing.\u00a0 The Chester County HIDTA Strike Force is led by the Chester County Detectives, with assistance from the Coatesville Police Department, Kennett Square Police Department, Oxford Police Department, and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
