Perhaps thinking about summer camp will add some warmth to parents’ lives during this frigid weather. The YMCA of the Brandywine Valley is holding Camp Open Houses to facilitate that thought process.

Upcoming dates include Feb. 9 at the Jennersville YMCA in West Grove, the Kennett Area YMCA in Kennett Square, and the West Chester Area YMCA in West Chester; and Feb. 16 at the Brandywine YMCA in Coatesville, a YMCA news release said.

Organizers say the camps span an age range from pre-school through teen years and cater to a wide variety of interests, ranging from science, gymnastics, dance, and sports. Campers can expand their education or pursue something new while making lasting memories and friendships, the release said.

Full and half-day options are available. The Y offers financial assistance for those unable to pay the usual fees. Financial assistance applications are available at any YMCA Member Services Desk. For more information or to download a camp guide, visit www.ymcabwv.org/camp or contact your local branch.
