Organizers hope to cultivate purchases of fresh produce
Coatesville residents are about to get another healthful reason to visit Gateway Park, where the long-anticipated Riverwalk, a scenic half-mile trail anchored by a fountain, opened less than a week ago.
On June 9, the Coatesville Farmers Market will debut at the park, which is located at the intersection of Route 82 and Lincoln Highway. The celebration will include an official ribbon-cutting. Visitors will have an opportunity to exercise by strolling or biking along the newly-opened paved trail and then to continue their wholesome lifestyles by purchasing fresh produce from a variety of area vendors.
The market will be open Saturdays through October from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
