City police: Traffic stop leads to drug arrest

A Crown Victoria being driven without headlights Monday, Feb. 3, at 3:54 a.m. caught the attention of Coatesville Officer Joseph Norcini, police said. During a traffic stop, Norcini made contact with Steven Young, 30, of Coatesville, who was in possession of several bags of cocaine, police said. Young was taken into custody and held for arraignment on charges of possession, possession with intent to deliver, and vehicle violations, police said.

On Sunday, Feb. 2, at 9:45 p.m., Cpl. Jonathan Shave conducted a vehicle stop in the unit block of Pennsylvania Avenue, police said. During the stop, Anthony Ali, 23, of Coatesville, began yelling obscenities and was warned that he would receive a citation for disorderly conduct, police said. Ali continued his behavior and was taken into custody and held for arraignment on charges of disorderly conduct, obstruction of justice, and loitering, police said.
