A special approach to honoring those who serve
This Memorial Day, veterans from the Coatesville VA Medical Center received a ‘Day of Beauty’ thanks to the staff of AseraCare Hospice and Palliative Medicine – Philadelphia, and the students from Empire Beauty School – Exton.
The caring students and staff provided complimentary haircuts; along with a bit of pampering comfort, as their special way to honor and thank those who dedicated their lives to military service.
“Being part of a hospice team is a powerful and inspirational experience. It is a benefit for us to be able to bring comfort to Veterans through their final days,” says AseraCare’s Volunteer Coordinator, Marlene Malloy. AseraCare Hospice serves five counties in the Southeastern, PA.
