County streamlines passport application process

WEST CHESTER — Travelling abroad this spring or summer? Tickets booked? Hotel booked? Passports…?

Chester County’s Passport Office, under the direction of the Prothonotary’s Office, offers an easy and reassuring way to apply for, or renew your U.S. passport.

Located on the first floor of the Chester County Justice Center, 201 W. Market Street in West Chester, representatives from the Passport Office provide valuable guidance and processing assistance on the application or renewal of U.S. passports.

In addition, passport photographs can be taken at the Chester County Sheriff’s Office, located on the same floor of the Chester County Justice Center. The office hours for both the Passport Office and Sheriff’s Office are 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Information and tips for applying for a passport may be obtained by going to www.chesco.org and typing “Passport Office” in the search bar, or by calling the Passport Office at 610-344-6050.
