PennDOT plans road, lane closures next week

RoadClosedThe Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced that travel restrictions will occur next week on Route 52 (Lenape Road), U.S. 30, U.S. 1 and U.S. 202 in Chester County, for bridge repairs, median stabilization and patching operations. 

The work schedule, which is weather dependent, is:

• Monday, May 23, through Thursday, May 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Route 52 (Lenape Road) will close between Pocopson Road and Creek Road in Pocopson Township, for bridge repairs.  During construction, Route 52 (Lenape Road) motorists will be detoured over Pocopson Road, Route 926 (Street Road) and Creek Road;

• Monday, May 23, through Thursday, May 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane restrictions are scheduled on U.S. 30 between Airport Road and Route 340 (West Kings Highway) in Valley and West Brandywine townships, for median stabilization;

• Monday, May 23, through Thursday, May 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane restrictions are scheduled on U.S. 1 between Route 41 (Gap Newport Pike) and Sylmar Road in Penn, Upper Oxford and Lower Oxford townships, for patching operations; and

• Monday, May 23, through Thursday, May 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane restrictions are scheduled on U.S. 202 between Route 926 (Street Road) and Route 401 (Conestoga Road) in Westtown, West Goshen, East Goshen, West Whiteland and East Whiteland townships, for patching operations. 

Motorists should expect slow moving traffic and delays entering the work zones.
