Authorities are withholding the victim’s name until relatives are notified
A fatal shooting occurred this morning in East Fallowfield Township, the District Attorney’s Office said.
A press release said the homicide happened early this morning. The body of the victim, identified only as a 30-year-old
male, was recovered in the unit block of Newlinville Road. The release said authorities are withholding the victim’s name until his family can be notified.
District Attorney Tom Hogan said the East Fallowfield Police Department and the Chester County Detectives are investigating. Anybody with information should contact Chester County Detective Bob Dougherty at 610-692-5100.
Today’s fatal shooting marks the eighth homicide so far this year; in 2011, the county had a total of nine, Hogan said.
