So. Chesco Police seek help in finding missing woman

Update, 11:10 a.m.: Police found Miller’s car in North Wilmington this morning.

The Southern Chester County Regional Police Department is investigating a report of a potentially endangered missing woman. The victim, Erin Leigh Miller, age 36 years was last seen by her parents on Monday, July 10, 2017 at approximately 7:45 a.m. in West Grove.   It is reported that the victim has a history of non-violent mental illness and there is concern for her safety and welfare.

The investigation quickly revealed that Miller had been in the Pennsylvania areas of Downingtown and Kennett Square. Investigators confirmed Miller’s presence in Wilmington and as of yesterday afternoon at approximately 3:00 pm, she was contacted and subsequently released by the University of Delaware Department of Public Safety in Newark, Delaware. Miller was released in the area of East Main Street in Newark, Delaware. At the time of her contact and release, the whereabouts of her vehicle were unknown. Miller was operating a dark blue 2003 Toyota Echo with a missing right rear wheel cover bearing PA Registration FGH-3501.

Police are actively working with Delaware law enforcement in the Newark area to locate the victim and return her home safely. Police urge the public to contact us at 911, if Miller or her vehicle is located or observed.
