Rep. Harry Lewis Jr. (R-Chester) is hosting a paper shredding event on Saturday, June 2, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Borough of South Coatesville Citadel Federal Credit Union parking lot, 135 Modena Road, Coatesville.
“We know, all too well, how damaging identity theft can be. Destroying documents with personal information is a great way to minimize the risk we face, so I encourage everyone to take advantage of the industrial shredder on June 2,” Lewis said.
The event, which will feature an onsite industrial paper shredder, will provide the opportunity for households and businesses to shred up to four packing boxes of materials. The boxes will be returned to residents; Wiggins Shredding will not keep nor shred boxes.
Only paper – no cardboard – will be accepted. Staples and paper clips need not be removed. All shredding takes place onsite.
