County commissioners going ‘on the road’

County Commissioners Kathi Cozzone (from left), Terence Farrell and Ryan Costello said they will hold some of their regular meetings throughout the county so more residents can attend.

Their Oct. 10 meeting will be held at night in West Brandywine

For Coatesville-area residents who have always wanted to attend a Chester County Commissioners meeting but lacked the ability to interrupt their work day or travel to West Chester, the board has a solution: It’s coming to you.

The commissioners announced yesterday that they are  moving one of their regularly scheduled public meetings from their boardroom in West Chester to the West Brandywine Township building.  The meeting will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 10 at 7 p.m.

The meeting will be the first in a series of “on the road” gatherings across Chester County over the next 12 months, beginning in the western part of the County. The West Brandywine Township building is located at 198 Lafayette Rd., Coatesville.

The Oct. 10 meeting will replace the Commissioners’ regular meeting, which had been scheduled for Thursday morning, Oct. 11. In addition to discussing and approving county government business, the commissioners will recognize local organizations and citizens who are making contributions to Chester County.

Residents are encouraged to attend the meeting, which will also be videotaped and posted on the county’s website, www.chesco.org.
