Village Optical to open new location at Bradford Plaza

Village Optical will open a new location at Bradford Plaza in West Chester, announced Levin Management Corporation (LMC). The store at Bradford Plaza marks the fifth Pennsylvania location for this family-owned and operated vision care services provider.

The 161,000-square-foot, grocery-anchored shopping center – located at 700 Downingtown Pike – is exclusively leased and managed by LMC; Leasing Representative Fred Younkin arranged the long-term, 2,300-square-foot Village Optical lease.

The Bradford Plaza location joins existing Village Optical practices in King of Prussia, Phoenixville, Paoli and Glenmoore. All locations provide comprehensive services ranging from routine eye examinations to diagnosis, treatment and management of diseases and disorders of the visual system. Village Optical also carries a large selection of eyeglass frames at all price points, including many designer options, for children and adults.

“We are excited for the opportunity to grow our practice in West Chester, which is a natural extension for us,” said Marc Vallino, one of the business’ co-owners. “Village Optical has been in business since 1996, and we pride ourselves on being a state-of-the-art full-service optometry practice that takes a patient-centered approach to eyecare. Bradford Plaza is a beautiful shopping center supported by excellent demographics and a great mix of tenants, including a Giant supermarket. The presence of a busy dental practice next door to our space, and the synergy that creates, also was very attractive to us.”

Younkin noted that Village Optical represents a high-quality addition for Bradford Plaza. “Healthcare concepts that combine medical use with a retail component, as is the case with Village Optical, are excellent traffic drivers that contribute significantly to a retail property’s overall ‘destination’ atmosphere,” he said. “We are pleased to bring this convenient vision care option to the community.”

In addition to the Giant supermarket, Bradford Plaza is home to AT&T, Dollar Tree, a Giant Fuel Station, Monkey Fish Toys, Orangetheory Fitness, PA Wine and Spirits, Petco, Walgreens, and a complementary mix of local restaurants and service providers. According to real-time traffic data from consulting company Placer.ai, Bradford Plaza is the most dominant center in its market, pulling 1.65 million visits per year. More than 107,000 people comprise a growing population within a five-mile radius of the center, which is proximate to West Chester University and more than one dozen public schools.

Space availabilities at Bradford Plaza range from 1,300 square feet to 7,800 square feet. A 4,300-square-foot proposed pad site – with drive-thru opportunity – also is available.

For nearly seven decades, North Plainfield, N.J.-based LMC has served as a trusted single-source commercial real estate services provider for institutional and private owners. The firm today maintains a diversified, retail-focused portfolio of 120 properties totaling almost 16 million square feet in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states, offering leasing, property management, financial management and reporting, construction management and development, lease administration, marketing services, and acquisition and disposition consulting services. LMC’s capabilities continue to evolve with new technologies, efficiencies and sustainability-focused initiatives to serve a new generation of properties, investors and tenants.
