Reeceville students collect food for the hungry

Reeceville Elementary School student Michael McVeigh saved his own chore money to buy and entire shopping cart full of food for local needy families — so they can have a good Thanksgiving meal. Students at the school donated more than 1,100 food items for local food cupboards as part of “Operation Thanksgiving.”

‘Operation Thanksgiving’ collects 1,100 items for local food pantries

CALN — Reeceville Elementary School students showed their support for the community by donating more than 1100 food items to “Operation Thanksgiving.”

These contributions will go to the local food cupboard to help Coatesville community families enjoy a nice Thanksgiving dinner.  Fourth grade student Michael McVeigh  in Mr. Dainty’s class saved his chore money this fall and used it to donate a shopping cart full of grocery items  to support this worthy cause.   Students at Reeceville exceeded their donation goal of two food items per student.
