Coatesville Farmers Market taking orders for Saturday delivery
Fresh Fuji apples, Happy Hen eggs, apricot ginger biscotti, Loopy Leprechaun whiskey cakes, Jamaican jerk chicken, gouda cheese with mustard seeds and cumin, and Coatesville Community coffee are some of the appetizing edibles available this Saturday from the Coatesville Farmers Market.
But food and produce aren’t the only offerings. Arden and James, a Coatesville-based general store of handmade eco goods is featuring items ranging from beeswax tree candles to teddy bears created from recycled materials. In addition, Botanical Bubbles will tempt the senses with products such as chocolate raspberry soap or Snickerdoodle lip balm.
Here’s the drill: The product lineup is announced on Monday for pick-up the following Saturday between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Coatesville Farmers Market. Patrons can sign up for a weekly email alerting them to what’s available. Buyers can order by phone or email, but orders must be received by noon on Thursday, unless specified otherwise by the vendor. When customers arrive on Saturday, the vendor will have orders ready. When weather permits, some vendors will have additional items for sale.
The market, which operates twice a month during the winter, is located at Gateway Park on First Avenue, at the intersection of Rt. 82 and business Rt. 30.
