Community Education Foundation seeking partners to make positive changes
From working to save the Air Force Junior ROTC program to providing laptops to deserving students, the Coatesville Community Education Foundation is seeking assistance to improve the lives of area young people.
Toward that end, the independent public charity is holding its 2nd Annual Dinner Gala: “Celebrating Coatesville Diversity,” on March 23 at the Coatesville Country Club. Deborah Pieri, a performance artist and former second-grade teacher in the Coatesville school district, will receive a lifetime achievement award.
Other members of the community who will be recognized for their outreach work are Alray Johnson, Michele Ollis, Rodger Ollis Jr., Vitasta Bamezai, J.T. Dorsey, Esterlina Wiest, Nelson Negron, Amy O’Grady, John O’Grady, and Micheal Bell. In addition, the program, which begins at 5:30 p.m., promises festivities and music from around the world.
Reservations for the gala must be received by March 15, and the cost is $40 per guest. The Coatesville Country Club is located at 143 Reservoir Rd., Coatesville. For more information, contact Michelle Dirks at treasurehousepress@gmail.com. or visit http://www.coatesvillefoundation.org.
