Two Baltimore men visiting a friend in Coatesville got an unpleasant welcome when they were robbed Sunday night, Coatesville police said.

The two victims were on a porch in the 300 block of East Chestnut Street when they were approached by two black males between the ages of 25 to 30 who demanded their valuables – including car keys – at gunpoint, police said. One suspect was wearing black pants and a black hoodie and the other, a black hoodie and jeans, police said.

CoatesvilleĀ Sgt. James Audette said the visitors, who were not injured, had rented a black Toyota Camry in Maryland to make the trip; it was recovered this morning and is being processed by detectives. The investigation is continuing; anyone with information is asked to call police at 610-384-2300.

State police from the Embreeville barracks arrested a Coatesville man for driving under the influence, police said. Gary T. Galliore, 43, was cited on Wednesday at 7:07 p.m. after a traffic stop on the Rt. 30 Bypass in West Whiteland Township.

Yohance Jamal Nero, 27, of Coatesville, was accused of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or narcotics on Feb. 4, state police said. He was arrested following a one-vehicle crash on westbound Rt. 340 near Creamery Road in West Caln Township, police said.
