‘Love Local’ to be held Wednesday at Caln Skating Center
“Love Local,” a family- and farmer-friendly effort to promote local products and green energy, will be held Wednesday night at the Caln Skating Center.
A cooperative effort by the Western Chester County Chamber of Commerce and the Caln Green Task Force, the event will run from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Admission is free, but organizers ask that participants bring a canned goods donation (peanut butter is preferred) for the Chester County Food Bank.
Local products will be for sale, green energy exhibitors will have advice on lowering energy costs and pursuing a healthier lifestyle, and a kids’ activity table will be available. Residents can learn how to buy produce through community-supported agriculture (CSAs) or sign up to grow produce in Caln Township’s Community Garden.
The Caln Skating Center is located at 4533 W. Lincoln Highway in Thorndale.
