He had outstanding warrants in Philadelphia, New Jersey, and Chester County, police said, but when officers tried to take a 29-year-old Downingtown man into custody after a traffic stop on Feb. 11, he fled.

Coatesville Police Officer Chris McCarthy and Detective Shannon Miller gave chase, and David L. Holmes III almost struck a police officer with his vehicle, leading pursuing officers around Coatesville before crashing his vehicle, police said. He was arrested after a brief foot pursuit and found to be in possession of drugs, police said.

Charges against Holmes include attempted aggravated assault on a police officer, fleeing police, resisting arrests, and multiple drug and traffic violations, police said. Holmes was held for trial after a preliminary hearing on Wednesday, police said, adding that he remains in Chester County Prison after failing to post $10,000 cash bail.

A Landenberg father asked Officer Paul Antonucci to have officers to be on the lookout for his 19-year-old daughter, who lives in the 600 block of East Lincoln Highway. He reported Amy Shirilla – described as a 5-foot-2, white female, about 120 pounds with blue eyes and blonde hair – missing, telling police he had not seen her since March 12, police said. Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to call the department at 610-384-2300.

Deboise M. Perry of Coatesville was arrested by Officer Jose Colon on Wednesday for violating a protection-from-abuse order at 12:10 p.m. in the 100 block of Rosemont Avenue, police said.

Officer Stephen Galletta responded to a residence on Pennsylvania Avenue at 4:25 p.m. on Wednesday for a report of a domestic altercation involving a man with a gun, police said. Derran Green, 53, of Coatesville, who was found with a fake gun and suspected drugs, was arrested for an outstanding warrant, police said.

Deborah Turner, 19, of Coatesville, was cited by Officer Paul Antonucci on Wednesday at 9:54 p.m. in connection with an alleged altercation in the 500 block of Olive Street, police said.

Police said a juvenile, who was not identified because of his age, caused a disturbance that did damage and almost injured a teacher at the Chester County Learning Center in the 300 block of Kersey Street on Wednesday. He was arrested for criminal mischief by Officer Stephen Galletta, police said.

Galletta also cited Tempest Hill, 25, of Coatesville, for harassment and criminal mischief on Wednesday after her ex-boyfriend, who said Hill had been calling and texting him for weeks, reportedly caught her on video damaging his vehicle, police said.
