Stolen vehicle found unoccupied in alley

Police said it had been reported by West Chester authorities

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOn Monday at 10:43 a.m., police located an unoccupied, stolen vehicle in Willow Alley behind 546 Harmony Street, according to Officer Chris McCarthy.  Police said the vehicle had been reported stolen by the West Chester Borough Police.

A Coatesville man wanted on aggravated assault charges surrendered to Cpl. Larry Cooper at 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday. A warrant had been issued for Jacques Roberts, 29, on Saturday after an alleged domestic assault, police said. Roberts was committed to Chester County Prison after failing to post $10,000 cash bail; a preliminary hearing is scheduled for Monday, court records said.

On April 1 at 7:25 a.m., police were dispatched  to a report of a male wearing a yellow coat who was seen with his pants down in the area of South Fourth Avenue, police said. Officer Chris McCarthy said police found Kevin E. Newman of Coatesville, who matched that description, in Ash Park; Newman was cited for disorderly conduct, police said.

A 43-year-old Coatesville resident reported that sometime between the hours of 8 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Monday, someone broke the front passenger side window on her 1995 grey Honda Civic, said Officer Amy Nicholl, adding that the woman said nothing was taken and no other damage was done to the vehicle.
