Police: Man who tried to separate two dogs injured in process
On Sunday at 7:23 p.m., Coatesville officers responded to the 900 block of Merchant Street for an animal complaint, said Cpl. Ken Michels. Police said a pit bull owned by Dashanna R. Ramsue got loose and attacked a neighbor’s dog.
The attack resulted in injuries to both dogs as well as a person who tried to separate the animals, police said. He was bitten in the left ankle and treated at Brandywine Hospital, police said. Ramsue was cited for several ordinance violations, and the Chester County SPCA was contacted, police said.
Police were dispatched on Sunday at 1:35 p.m. to the Rite Aid Pharmacy in the 300 block of East Lincoln Highway for a report that a white female was attempting to fill a fraudulent prescription for oxycodone, said Cpl. Jeffrey Ingemie. The woman initially gave a false name because she said she had outstanding warrants in Maryland, said Ingemie. Further investigation revealed that she was Amanda Weller, 20, of Coatesville, who was charged with conspiracy, false ID, and drug offenses, police said. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, court records said.
Police responded to the 600 block of Victoria Drive on Sunday at 9:45 p.m. for several noise complaints, reported Officer David Marquette. Police said Lilian Gonzalez-Sanchez, 27, of Coatesville, was cited for noise violations.
Two juveniles were charged with summary harassment after an investigation into a complaint from a 13-year-old male and his parents on Thursday at 3:45 p.m., Officer Sylvester Earle reported. A 17-year-old male and a 14-year-old male indicated they were going to cause bodily harm to the victim, police said.
On Friday at 2:30 p.m., police received information regarding an unauthorized transaction with a debit/credit card, Officer Sylvester Earle reported. As a result of an investigation, 32-year-old Eric Brown of Coatesville was charged with access device fraud, police said.
