Police investigating Tuesday morning robbery

Victim described assault by two men who stole his wallet, fled in his vehicle

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERACoatesville police are investigating a robbery that occurred on Tuesday at 12:44 a.m., Sgt. Steven Smith reported. The victim said he was in the 200 block of Concord Alley when he was physically assaulted by two black males, one of whom stole his wallet, police said.

The assailants fled in the victim’s vehicle, which was later located about a half-block from the scene, police said. The victim was transported to the hospital for evaluation and treatment from injuries sustained during the attack, police said.

At 1:07 p.m. Tuesday in the 100 block of West Lincoln Highway, Cpl. Guy Bruchstein arrested Quentin Pennington, 36, of Coatesville, for an outstanding bench warrant, police said. .

On Tuesday at 8 a.m., Officer Carmen Mollichella took Jake Dean, 28, of Coatesville, into custody in the 700 block of Harmony Street for non-traffic warrants, police said. Drug possession charges were added after a search pursuant to his arrest revealed 13 baggies of a green leafy substance that tested positive for marijuana, police said

Police were dispatched on Tuesday at 6:35 a.m. to the area of Pennsylvania Ave and Harmony Street, where three vehicles had slashed tires, Officer Carmen Mollichella reported.

On Monday, police responded to the unit block of South 11th Avenue at 9:44 a.m., Cpl. Guy Bruchstein reported. A resident said he discovered damage to a brick wall outside his home that appeared to have been caused by a vehicle, police said.
