Police: Early-morning disturbance leads to arrests

Citations against two men include public intoxication

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThe report of a public disturbance led Officers Kirt Guyer and Jonathan Shave to the 200 block of East Lincoln Highway this morning at 1:38 a.m., police said. After making contact with two subjects, the officers cited Dan Barrios Hernandez, 25, of Coatesville, with public intoxication, police said. Durand Nelson Boddy, 21, was charge with possession of a controlled substance and public intoxication, police said.

Cpl. Larry Cooper was dispatched to assist the South Coatesville Police Department on Thursday to serve a fugitive warrant from Coatesville on Christopher M. Bowen Sr., 46, police said. After Bowen was taken into custody without incident, police learned that he also has an outstanding warrant from North East Detectives in Philadelphia, police said. Bowen, who was unable to post $5,000 bail, was taken to Chester County Prison until Philadelphia authorities take custody of him, police said.

Officer Carmen Mollichella responded to a criminal mischief complaint on Thursday at 5:15 p.m., police said. A woman said that she parked her vehicle in the unit block of South Sixth Avenue at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday and that when she returned to it at 6:45 a.m. Wednesday, she discovered sugar around the gas cap of her vehicle and believes someone poured sugar inside the tank, police said.

A Coatesville resident came to the police station on Thursday at 12:59 p.m. and reported that another resident had sent her over 90 text messages and made phone calls that “served no purpose but to annoy the victim,” Officer Carmen Mollichella reported. Upon investigation, Eva Dixon, 53, of Coatesville, was cited for harassment, police said.
