Police: Shots fired in unit block of Pa. Ave.

No injuries reported, but unoccupied vehicle sustained damage

Image 2Coatesville police responded to the unit block of Pennsylvania Avenue at 11:33 p.m. Saturday for a report that nine to 12 gunshots had been fired, said Officer Carmen Mollichella. Police said investigators recovered five spent casings on the ground.

No injuries were reported, but at least one unoccupied vehicle was struck, with shots breaking the front windshield and back window, police said. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 610-384-2300.

Cpl. Guy Bruchstein was dispatched to a reported robbery involving a gun on Friday at 10:05 p.m., police said. Upon arrival at Sixth Avenue and East Lincoln Highway, police found no victim. The 9-1-1 caller, the father of the alleged victim, was contacted and asked to have his son come to the station; however, the alleged victim refused to speak with officers, police said.

Officer Carmen Mollichella responded to a two-vehicle accident on Saturday at 6:01 p.m. in the 100 block of South Fifth Avenue, police said. Andre Montague, 57, of Malvern, said he was getting out of his vehicle after parking when it rolled forward and struck another parked vehicle, police said. Both vehicles were driven from the scene, police said.
