No injuries reported, but shell casings found in 700 block of E. Chestnut St.
Coatesville police were in the area of North Seventh Avenue and East Chestnut Street at 2:48 a.m. on Friday when gunshots rang out, Officer Carmen Mollichella reported. Officers collected several casings from the 700 block of East Chestnut Street, police said. No injuries were reported, and the investigation is continuing, police said.
Police responded to Madison Avenue and Union Street Thursday at 7:15 p.m. for a bicyclist who had been struck by a car, Cpl. Guy Bruchstein reported. Upon arrival, police spoke with the car’s driver as well as the victim, a male juvenile who did not appear to be injured, police said. The boy said he was riding the bike down Union Street and was not able to stop at the intersection, police said. The boy, who was not wearing a helmet, was transported to Brandywine Hospital for evaluation, police said.
Officer Paul Antonucci responded to a domestic dispute in the 100 block of South Fifth Avenue at 6 p.m. on Thursday, police said. Upon arrival, the victim stated that Amelia Killan, 36, of Coatesville, had been screaming racial epithets. Killan, who was no longer at the scene, was mailed a citation for disorderly conduct, police said.
A 47-year-old driver was turning onto the 700 block of East Diamond Street on Wednesday at 9:18 a.m. when he struck a telephone pole, Det. Shannon Miller reported. Police said the driver, Anthony Story, 47, of Coatesville, was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured; however, he was cited for driving with a suspended license and driving without required financial responsibility, police said.
Police were dispatched on Wednesday at 9:23 a.m. to Eimwood Gardens at 100 Harlan Drive for an incident of criminal mischief, Officer Jose Colon reported. Police said an unknown person removed the right front tire from a Chevy Cavalier.
On Thursday at 9:01 p.m., Officer Jose Colon responded to a burglary in the 400 block of Cedar Street, police said. Police said a Samsung flat screen TV, Mac Pro Laptop, l-Pod and JVC DVD were taken from the residence. An investigation is continuing, police said.
