Police said he fatally shot his longtime girlfriend
At approximately noon on Tuesday, a 44-year-old man fatally shot his longtime girlfriend at their East Fallowfield Township residence, Chester County District Attorney Tom Hogan said.
Hogan said East Fallowfield Township Police Chief Chris Porter was one of the first officers on the scene in the unit block of Rokeby Road and took Gregory A. Twyman into custody for the homicide of Jamica Woods.
The case is being investigated by the East Fallowfield Police Department and the Chester County Detectives. He said further details will be released Wednesday, Hogan said.
According to court records, Twyman, who has a history of drug arrests dating back to 1991, was awaiting trial next month on drug charges. In 1999, he faced terroristic threat charges and received probation for a guilty plea to harassment, court records said. In 1993, he was charged with attempted homicide and received a prison sentence of 11 1/2 to 23 months in a plea deal to a charge of criminal conspiracy to commit robbery, records said.
