Victim told police: Verbal argument turned violent
A verbal altercation Wednesday night escalated into a stabbing, Coatesville Police said Thursday.
Officer Brenden Boyle said police were dispatched to the unit block of South Fourth Avenue at 11:36 p.m., where officers found a man with puncture wound to the abdomen, which was not believed to be life-threatening.
The victim, who was not identified by police, said that he was engaged in a verbal attercation with an unknown male when the dispute turned violent; he said the suspect pulled out a knife with a six-inch blade and stabbed him, police said.
Police said the victim was transported to Paoli Hospital. The investigation is continuing, police said.
