Police said victim was beaten and had wallet, cash stolen
On Monday, Coatesville police responded to the Kool Bar in the 300 block of East Lincoln Highway for an intoxicated male who refused to leave, Cpl. Jeffrey Ingemie reported. Through a Spanish interpreter, officers determined that the man had been the victim of a strong-arm robbery just outside of the bar, police said. The victim had a wallet and cash stolen and was beaten in the torso and head; he was transported to Brandywine Hospital for treatment for his injuries, police said. On Friday, police were dispatched to a fight near the 200 block of West Harmony Street, Cpl. Jeffrey Ingemie reported. Ingemie conducted a traffic stop related to the altercation and came in contact with Cameron C. Oxendine-Jackson, 24, of Coatesville, police said. Ingemie, who was initially provided a false name, learned that Oxendine-Jackson had bench warrants from Chester and Philadelphia Counties and a summary traffic warrant from Caln Township, police said. Oxendine-Jackson was taken into custody, charged with false ID to law enforcement, and transported to the Chester County Prison.
On Wednesday, Officer Jonathan Shave observed two individuals inside a parked vehicle in the Kool Bar parking lot in the 300 block of East Lincoln Highway at 10:47 p.m., police said. Shave made contact with Kahlie Winkey, 20, of Coatesville, who had a bench warrant from domestic relations, police said. Winkey was also found to be in possession of several small bags of marijuana; he was arrested and released to constables, police said.
Officer Stephen Galletta made contact on Wednesday at 11:36 p.m. with Miguel Juarez, 25, of Parkesburg in the 200 block of East Lincoln Highway, police said. Juarez, who had been operating a Dodge sedan without any headlights, failed field sobriety tests and was arrested for drunken-driving, police said.
Two Coatesville men – Emir Winkey, 23, and William Culclasure, 18 – were cited for disorderly conduct after Office Paul Antonucci observed them fighting near the intersection of South Third Avenue and East Lincoln Highway on Friday at 2:40 p.m., police said.
Officer Claude Simpkins responded to a reported theft from a vehicle on Wednesday at 11:55 p.m. in the 300 block of West Lincoln Highway, police said. The victim said she had parked her vehicle, with doors unlocked and windows down, and returned 15 minutes later to find her laptop missing from the front seat, police said.
State police from the Embreeville barracks said they investigated a burglary sometime between Tuesday at 10:30 p.m. and Wednesday at 5:20 a.m. in West Caln Township. The victim told police someone entered a locked garage in the 200 block of Ash Road and removed a motorcycle and an ATV, police said. The motorcycle was left parked in a neighbor’s driveway, but the ATV was stolen, police said.
