This year’s Polo Cup offers fun events for all ages
The Chester County Hospital’s Seventh Annual Polo cup will be held this Sunday, June 9 at the Brandywine Polo Club at 960 Polo Road, Toughkenamon, PA 19274. The events will begin at 1:30 p.m. and the match will begin at 3 p.m.
On behalf of the Turks Head Branch of the Women’s Auxiliary, residents are invited to participate in this eventful day. Festivities will included a beer garden, tailgating, great food, live music, a “Hats off to Health” contest, a Polo 101 tutorial, free kids activities, raffles, and a thrilling polo match.
All spectators are encouraged to allow time before the match to set up their own field-side tailgate party. Gates open at 1:30. Attendees can enjoy the beer garden, purchase food from our vendors or bring their own food and drinks for a fabulous day of tailgating fun while enjoying the excitement of the fast-paced game of polo. Your tailgate party can be theme-related and elaborate with tables and chairs under your own tent or a simple picnic blanket thrown on the grass. Grills and kegs are prohibited on Brandywine Polo Club grounds.
The Polo Cup will also benefit the Prenatal Clinic at the Chester County Hospital. For 30 years, mothers who could not afford health care for themselves or prenatal care for their babies have turned to this clinic for gynecology care, obstetric care and childbirth deliveries in a comfortable, personalized setting. By supporting the Polo Cup, you help to insure that the hospital can continue to deliver these wonderful services and the new lives that depend on them.
