Victim said he was asleep in vehicle when someone pulled him out of it
A 51-year-old man told Coatesville police that he was asleep in his car on Friday at 9:59 p.m. when an unknown person grabbed him by the shirt and pulled him out of the 2013 grey, two-door Kia Forte before stealing it. The incident, which occurred in the 300 block of East Lincoln Highway, remains under investigation, Officer Paul Antonucci reported.
On Thursday at 8:42 a.m., Cpl. Ken Michels and Officer Rob Kuech came into contact with Kelly L. Hepfl, 77, of Downingtown, as she was attempting to ingest illegal drugs, police said. Hepfl, who was in the rear of a building in the 500 block of East Lincoln Highway, possessed a crack pipe and crack cocaine, police said, adding that she was taken to Brandywine Hospital for evaluation.
Michels and Kuech observed Jessie Greenidge Sr., 49, of Coatesville, in the 500 block of Olive Street at 2:07 p.m., police said. Greenidge Sr. was taken into custody on a criminal warrant from a domestic dispute, police said.
A dispatch for a domestic dispute led to the arrest of Justin Pinkney, 23, of Coatesville, in the unit block of Willow Alley on Thursday at 7:30 p.m., Officer Kirt Guyer reported. Pinkney was taken into custody on a bench warrant for failing to appear at trial, police said.
Another call for a domestic disturbance at 3:02 a.m. on Thursday resulted in the confinement of Anthony Johnson, 44, of Coatesville, Guyer reported. Johnson, who had a warrant for involuntary commitment to Valley Creek Crisis, was transported to Brandywine Hospital, police said.
Officer Sylvester Earle was dispatched to the 500 block of Olive Street on Thursday at 10:55 p.m. for an accident report, police said. The victim told police that the accident, which resulted in minor injuries and heavy front-end damage to the victim’s vehicle, occurred at Walnut Street and Palmer Avenue and that the other driver fled the scene, police said.
Det. Shannon Miller cited John Bradfield, 53, of Coatesville, for scattering rubbish on Friday at 1:21 p.m. in the 400 block of East Lincoln Highway, police said.
State police from the Embreeville barracks said they conducted a traffic stop on June 1 at 3:27 a.m. on Rt. 322, west of the Rt. 30 Bypass in Caln Township. Andrew E. Hiller, 25, of Glenmoore, was determined to be under the influence and in possession of a small amount of marijuana, said police, who filed charges in district court.
