“Friday Night Lights” at Natural Lands Trust’s ChesLen Preserve

Join Natural Lands Trust and WXPN for a celebration of the night sky.

In honor of the Natural Lands Trust 60th anniversary, they will celebrate the favorite music and fashion of the 1960’s, including Bob Dylan, bell-bottoms, and tie-dye.

The event will be on Friday, July 12 from 8 to 11 p.m. (rain date is July 13) at the ChesLen Preserve, 1199 Cannery Road, Coatesville, PA 19320. Adults ages 21 and older are invited to attend.

The NLT invites guests to dress to impress in their finest 1960’s attire and enjoy a bonfire, live music, star-gazing, s’mores, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages.

The event will feature Scot Sax, renowned Grammy-winning songwriter, Wanderlust frontman, and Philly native. Sax will share his own take on classic tunes as well as ‘60s-inspired originals.

After sunset astronomers from the Chesmont Astronomical Society will train their telescopes on faraway planets and stars and invite everyone to take a peek.

Don’t forget to bring your own picnic blanket or camping chairs and wear sturdy shoes, as there is uneven ground.

Tickets are $20 per person. Natural Lands Trust and WXPN members get half off the ticket price. Space is very limited and pre-registration is required. To register, visit https://getinvolved.natlands.org/event-registration.

Natural Lands Trust wishes to thank Wawa, lead sponsor of Lenfest Center programming at ChesLen Preserve.
