34-year-old Coatesville man arrested for alleged drunken-driving

During a sobriety checkpoint conducted by state police from the Embreeville barracks and Coatesville Police on May 25, Michael A. Walls, 34, of Coatesville, was stopped at 12:55 a.m. on Lincoln Highway, east of Eighth Avenue, police said. He was determined to be driving under the influence and arrested, police said.

Responding to a possible domestic dispute on Sunday in the unit block of North Brandywine Avenue in Modena, troopers came into contact with Lewis McClaskey, 21, of Parkesburg, police said. Police said McClaskey, who appeared to be acting out due to “a high level of intoxication from a controlled substance,” became verbally and physically abusive as he was being restrained, resulting in charges that included resisting arrest, public drunkenness, and disorderly conduct, police said.

State police said they responded to a two-vehicle accident on Tuesday at 7:01 a.m. on U.S. 30, east of Rock Raymond Road in Caln Township. A Nissan Altima traveling eastbound in the left lane slowed for traffic, and a Honda CBR motorcycle  rear-ended it, police said. The motorcycle driver, Bryan E. White, 21, of Downingtown, was wearing a helmet and sustained minor injury, police said. White was cited for following too closely, police said.
