Police remind residents to call authorities if they see suspicious activity
In response to unverified information in a flyer distributed to residents about a possible late-night thief casing and hitting homes in the area of 12th Avenue and Stirling Street, Coatesville police said they would put on extra patrols. Police want to remind residents to call 610-384-2300 if they see any suspicious activity.
On Tuesday at 7:58 p.m., police responded to a retail theft in-progress in the 200 block of East Lincoln Highway, Officer Miguel Ortiz reported. Tyree Smith, 18, of Coatesville, who fit the description of the suspect, was stopped and proved to be in possession of the stolen items, police said.
